Help for first-time buyers

FIRST-TIME buyers will get help at Barratt's Fifth Avenue development in Harlow under a scheme where they can opt for a 50 per cent stake, with English Partnerships making up the difference

Prices for homes currently available start from £140,000 for a one-bedroom apartment, meaning FTBs have to find £70,000 minimum.

Two-bed apartments are priced from £185,000.

Further incentives are available to help with moving costs and, in the current economic climate, it's worth making an offer.

Discounts may also be available for multiple-unit purchases.
