GOOD news from housebuilders Manor Kingdom.

Despite the bleak scene in the general housing market, they say their unit sales in Scotland during January outstripped the figure they achieved in January last year.

The 40 percent increase, says sales manager Estelle Dougan, points towards confidence returning to the new homes market with purchasers gaining the benefit of the deals that are presently available.

Among the most outstanding is up to £210,000 off selected plots at Newmachar, Aberdeen. They also have selected plots available on a shared equity basis.

"The sales figures show new buyers are taking advantage of the current fantastic offers but these offers will not be available for much longer, " said Estelle. "When the standing stock is sold out we will not be in a position to offer such great deals so buyers must act quickly to secure a quality new home."
