Home swaps on the rise

A GREATER number of buyers are taking advantage of the opportunity to swap their existing home for a new one, report Redrow Homes.

The builders are offering part exchange on selected properties at their Middlebank Rise development in Dunfermline.

Diana Newton, sales director with Redrow Homes Scotland, explained:

"It works in four simple steps. The customer reserves their new home and a valuation is then carried out by a local estate agent.

"Redrow then makes them an offer and becomes their cash buyer. When their new home is ready they pack their bags and move in. It really is as simple as that." Middlebank Rise features three-, four- and five-bedroom homes priced from £169,995.
