SCOTTISH housebuilders CALA are launching a new collection of house types. Called the Signature collection, these new-look homes combine traditional Scottish architectural features in thei
Making its debut at CALA's Kinnaird Gardens development in Larbert, the collection consists of 21 designs, a mix of four- and fivebedroom detached properties, with each carrying a title based on a traditional Scottish surname.
"The launch of the new Signature collection is a confident move by CALA, particularly in these testing market conditions, " said Alistair White, managing director of CALA West.
"However, it perfectly illustrates our commitment to creating homes that our customers want to live in.
"We have taken customer feedback into consideration on both the aesthetics of the houses and also the physicality of how they live and move around the home and we've incorporated that into the new designs."
He added: "We reviewed the drivers in the Scottish house building market and what they mean for the future. This collection has been born out of this process and we're confident buyers will be very impressed."
Exteriors of the houses will have a Scottish mix of stone features. Another echo of traditional style will be sloping eaves built into the roof.
Some of the designs will include a steel rafter tie or a feature keystone.
Interiors are very much in step with modern living patterns.
There will be separate formal living and reception areas with an open plan layout for kitchens and family living areas.
Kitchen and bathrooms will have high specifications.
One of the most notable is an integrated appliance bank concept for kitchens.
As well as offering buyers a selection of integrated appliances, upgrade options are also available.
Other less obvious features of the new collection include energy reduction features for floors, walls and roofs, and improved insulation, reducing heat loss and reducing fuel bills.
The new Signature collection is to be rolled out across Scotland but those keen to be among the first buyers of these homes can now buy off-plan at this Larbert development.
Prices for the new-look designs at Kinnaird Gardens launch at £250,000 for a four-bedroom detached Bryce which has 1,594 square feet of accommodation.
A five-bedroom Moncrief, with 2,513 square feet of living space is selling at £369,000.
Three showhomes from the new collection - a Moncrief, Colville and Crichton - are scheduled to open in September.
